COSTUME DESIGN CONTEST
OFFICIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. ELIGIBILITY
   The Lightning Elite Designs Costume Design Contest ("Contest") is open to legal residents of Canada. Entrants under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate.

2. ENTRY PERIOD
   Entries must be received by June 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. Entries received after this deadline may not be considered.

3. HOW TO ENTER
   Participants must complete and submit the official contest entry form and costume design submission form. Limit one (1) entry per person unless otherwise stated.

4. PRIZE
   One (1) winner will receive:
   • One (1) custom costume based on their submitted design; and
   • The opportunity to have their design featured in the Lightning Elite Designs 2026 Costume Catalogue.

The prize has no cash value, is non-transferable, and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash, credit, or any other item.

1. DESIGN OWNERSHIP & USE
   By entering the Contest, participants grant Lightning Elite Designs the right to reproduce, modify, manufacture, photograph, promote, publish, and distribute submitted designs for commercial and promotional purposes without further notice or compensation.

The winning design may be modified, adapted, simplified, embellished, resized, recoloured, or otherwise altered by Lightning Elite Designs to accommodate manufacturing requirements, performance needs, safety considerations, sizing requirements, material availability, artistic direction, catalogue presentation, or commercial production. Every effort will be made to preserve the overall concept and spirit of the winning design.

1. COMPENSATION
   The winner will not receive royalties, commissions, profit-sharing, licensing fees, residuals, or any other financial compensation resulting from the production, sale, promotion, or distribution of their design.

2. WINNER SELECTION
   The winner will be selected by Lightning Elite Designs based on creativity, originality, visual appeal, manufacturability, and suitability for inclusion in the Lightning Elite Designs catalogue. All decisions are final.

3. PUBLICITY
   By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that their first name, age category, city/province, submitted design, photographs, and promotional materials may be used by Lightning Elite Designs for advertising, marketing, catalogue, website, and social media purposes without additional compensation.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS
   Lightning Elite Designs reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.

By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
